My name is Gilles Vandenoostende. I’m an Interactive Designer/Front-end Developer, currently in the employ of Proximity BBDO, one of the biggest below-the-line marketing firms in Belgium.
My specialities include Graphic Design, Flash & Flex development (AS2.0 and AS3.0), xHtml, AJAX and CSS. Furthermore, I am skilled in 3D modelling/animation and video-editing.
I see code not as an afterthought to the design-process, but as a logical extention to it, in this age of interactivity on the web (and beyond), and as such, I am always trying to innovate and progress my coding style. Design patterns, best practices, writing or improving frameworks are a passion of mine.
I also care deeply about design, typography and usability. Web-standards and accessibility are integral to every project I undertake.
